Civil aviation proposal made my Indian government in June 2016

Government on June 2nd 2016 proposed some amendments to civil aviation rules.  These proposed amendments are uploaded on the website of Directorate General of Civil Aviation and open for comments from the public for 15 days.

Extra baggage charges to be lowered

Most airlines provide free check-in baggage allowance upto 15 kg, after which Rs.300 per kg is charged.  Government proposed a variable free checked-in baggage fare between 15-20 kg and Rs100 per kg there after.

Refunds should be through airline, not through travel agent

Government proposed - when you buy airline tickets through a third party travel portal, the refund should be done by airline but not by the travel agent.   The refund process should be completed within 15 working days for domestic and 30 working working days in case of international travels.

Visit to Yadagirigutta and Surendrapuri

1. Yadagirigutta

It is a holy place well known for Lord Narasimha Swamy's temple located at around 65km from Hyderabad.  It will take around 2hrs to reach the place considering normal city traffic.

Visiting Hours: Temple darshan starts from 7am to 9 pm excluding the Bhogam/Naivedyam timings i.e., 12.30 pm to 1.30pm and 3.00pm to 4.00pm.
In normal days it will take 30-45 mins for normal(uchitha) darshan.  You can also make your darshan faster by buying a Seeghra(fast) darshan ticket @ prices 25, 101, etc.

You can also visit Lord Shiva's temple beside this

2. Surendrapuri (Kunda Satyanarayana Kala Dhamam)

Located at 2km only from Yadagirigutta, this place is popular for Indian mythology theme park.  This place is established by Sri. Kunda Satyanarayana to create awareness on Indian mythology.
